Getting to the village.

Here’s everything you need to know on how to get to the village, as well as our recommendations and tips.

    1. Fly into Toulouse or Bordeaux Airport and rent a car. This will be the shortest travel time and easiest way to get to the village.

    2. Fly into Paris, take the TGV train to the Agen station and then rent a car to get the village. This is more of the scenic route, and may be more cost effective.

  • The closest airports to the venue are Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) (1.5 hours by car) and Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD) (2 hours by car).

Additionally, there are two major airports in Paris: Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) and Charles-De-Gaulle Airport (CDG). You will need to take a connecting flight or train from the Paris airports.

  • France has an extensive high-speed rail network. We recommend buying low-cost tickets from OUIGO.

The closest train station to Castelnau is Gare d'Agen (1 Pl. Rabelais, 47000 Agen, France).

Car rental is available at the Agen train station (30 minutes by car to Castelnau).

  • Castelnau is located in the remote countryside where there is limited public transportation/taxi service. We highly recommend renting a car if you are looking to explore the area and for additional flexibility during your visit. There is free parking available at Castelnau.

Cell service may be limited in the countryside so we recommend downloading offline maps prior to your drive.

Reminder to confirm if your rental car has a manual or automatic transmission.

US Drivers: If you are driving on a U.S. driver's license, you may need a International Driving Permit. https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html

  • If there is enough interest, for those who don’t feel comfortable renting a car, we may be able to coordinate a shuttle transfer from the Toulouse Airport to the village on Friday and a return trip on Monday. If this is something you are interested in, please let us know.
